Background

Having a wealth of experience integrating existing and emerging technologies and driving organizational change in highly regulated industries, Catherine has held numerous executive roles in her career including that of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Canada from 2010 to 2014.

 

In her capacity as CIO for the Federal Government, Catherine was responsible for government-wide technology and information management strategies, polices, and oversight.  Prior to, Catherine was a Business and Technology Transformation Leader at Air Canada where she was instrumental in modernizing the airline’s comprehensive IT systems while driving innovation with the adoption of AI applications during an unprecedented time in the global aviation industry brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Prior to joining Air Canada, Catherine held executive roles at Enbridge Inc., including Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Information Technology.  She previously served in several key senior management roles at major Canadian companies, including Vice President, Distribution, at WestJet Airlines Ltd., and Director of Sales at TELUS Communications.

Catherine now serves as an independent director for both the Master Group and the Calgary Airport Authority.  Based in Foothills MD, Alberta, Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology/Chemistry) from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Athabasca University.
